ABOUT US
Sari Chempaka Art Village was established by Prof. Dato ’Dr. Mohamed Najib Ahmad Dawa. This place has hosted various art programmed and community events. It aims to promote art and rural tourism while providing a safe space for young artist to learn and indulge in the arts.
The opening ceremony of this center was held on 1 September 2020 which was attended by
Deputy Director General (Operations), National Art Gallery, Mrs. Rohana Md Yusof .

ABOUT THIS PLACE
Sari Cempaka Art Village is an art village located at Karak Setia. SCAV offers artist residency, work space and platform for artists. Artist residency in located near by SCAV where it’s convenient for artists to work on their art processes and idea development. Some of the facilities also include a ceramic studio/workshop and epoxy table workshop. As a part of the initiative to enhance rural tourism in Malaysia, SCAV enables the notion to grow and flourish.
Surrounding the area, tourists can experience the rural life. Malay tradition and heritage is one of the idea that SCAV intends to get across. Learning and embracing our history lets us appreciate and reflect on our day-to-day lives. One of the attraction in SCAV would be a traditional 100 years old Malay/pahang house owned by Dato Najib. It’s a site to get to know more about Malay adat and principles. As part of their nature, SCAV also offers adventure which are hard to be found in the city such as extracting honey kelulut, farming experience where residents could farm and harvest tapioca, planting banana trees and processing them into kerepek pisang and also fishing activities.
These sets of events will Also included in the package, would be an accommodation at a homestay resort, Villa D’Teroh where it’s pleasant and cosy. D’Teroh Villa is a great place to stay to have team building activities and hiking bukit halia to see waterfall near this place. Jimmy durian offers durian eating experience ls for people who enjoy durian and people who wants to try and have their first ever durian experience. The place also offers a homestay option where barbeque grilling session is possible option.

Aiman the Potter Man is very fond of practical and form. Every thing that's done starts with seeing, thinking, feeling and doing. All visible visuals are thought to have an impact and life. Therefore ceramics are the main medium for producing products and artworks because the land is close to his life
Amera binti Akbar
She is founder of Ideara Art and her new project is making "Dream Series" printmaking (linocut) as a media and turn it into digital printed T-shirt. She also runs art workshops every weekend and offers mural art service. Her goal is to be professional artist and successful art entrepreneur collaborating with like minded professionals.
Liya Najwa binti Lukman
She is founder of Night Whisper and produce ceramic plate called "Moment Appreciation" series. For her future, she want to be a professional artist and successful business woman.
